Princeton Students Now Filibustering on Capitol Hill!
Wed May 11, 2005 at 08:06:45 AM PDT
After continuing the "filibuster" for 360 hours through rain, final exams, and an early-morning bus ride, Princeton students are now standing before the Capitol to protest the Nuclear Option.
Senator Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) will join us at 2:00 today. We expect more tomorrow, after another night of non-stop filibustering.
The filibuster effort is being supported by students at other colleges including Howard University, Georgetown University, Trinity College, George Washington University, and American University. Depending on the outcome of events this week, it will continue indefinitely.
Support from members of the community, including Daily Kos, has been absolutely critical.
