They sure know how to pick 'em- White House Aide Edition

Sat Mar 29, 2008 at 09:31:28 AM PDT

In their on-going effort to hire the most incompetent and corrupt people in the entire country, BushCo has once again scored.

According to the Los Angeles Times today, yet another White House aide has resigned. This time the aide, Felipe Sixto, is suspected of having "a conflict of interest" with respect to the use of USAID funds while he was with a previous employer, the Washington-based Center for a Free Cuba.

Now this guy lasted a whole TWENTY DAYS (more on the flip)

as "special assistant on intergovernmental affairs" before he had to resign.

Of course, you can’t it right all the time but it seems more and more as if anyone can get a job in Washington.  Of course, there are plenty of jobs that wouldn’t require security clearance, but I would expect a background check or some sort of screening beyond name and address.

That's how Bernie Hund so aptly put it.

Now this is a position that is just a couple of steps from the top of the White House aide heap, you have to understand.

And who is this Felipe Sixto and what is he doing in the White House ? Not to difficult to figure that out, what with the whole Florida/Cuba scenario we've been seeing for so many years.

Democratic Underground has a lively discussion going on which we here at dKos somehow managed to miss what with all the candidate diaries....
