Don't Look, but Rove's Doing it Again
Thu Jun 26, 2008 at 11:36:48 AM PDT
Karl Rove of Swiftboat fame. He's at it again. The man who put W. in the White House. Who thought the city of New Orleans was worth less than a photo-op. The man who bankrupted the United States. A man who should be in jail, but is instead running around free although everyone knows where to find him.
By now we all understand Karl Rove's method of assult on John Kerry in 2004. Rove had a unique perspective on the art of political assassination - attack your opponents strengths head on. Thus, war hero John Kerry was turned into American betraying coward John Kerry thanks to Swiftboat Veterans and a nasty whisper campaign set in motion by Rove.
Hillary Does Something Stunningly Decent
Fri Mar 28, 2008 at 02:53:39 AM PDT
It seems the numbers from the latest polls noting that 28% of Hillary's supporters and 19% of Obama's supporters will vote for McCain in November have begun to resonate throughout the party. Yesterday, however, Hillary took a step back from the abyss.
FAYETTEVILLE, North Carolina (CNN) – Hillary Clinton pleaded for partisan unity on Thursday, urging Democrats not to abandon their party to vote for John McCain if their preferred candidate fails to secure the nomination.
Clinton was asked by a questioner in the audience here what she would tell frustrated Democrats who might consider voting for McCain in the general election out of spite.
"Please think through this decision," Clinton said, laughing and emphasizing the word "please."
"It is not a wise decision for yourself or your country."
The crowd applauded loudly.
OMG! Everyone's got a crazy Pastor!

I guess it's good to be an agnostic these days!
Here is McCain's "spiritual mentor" on an equally colorful rampage from an article by Sam Stein over at Huffington Post.

Mosh – Perhaps it’s time to go to Church
Thu Mar 20, 2008 at 04:47:12 AM PDT
I wish Kid Oakland had written this dairy. Or perhaps Pastor Dan. And I’ll allow anyone with a truly powerful voice in this community the opportunity to steal from it freely. I even see one diary by Kalman immediately below mine that starts to go in this direction, but I think we need something even stronger.
GOP Meteorologists Warn - Hurricane Obama Increasingly Dangerous, Volatile
Wed Feb 13, 2008 at 03:30:31 AM PDT
Hurricane Obama swelled into a Category IV storm over the Potomac region yesterday sweeping away clichés and rightwing talking points. The progressively powerful storm tore away at Catholic voters, Latinos, lower income and elderly Caucasian Americans. Said one anonymous meteorologist speaking off the record; "The storm appears as if it may continue with a tremendous force into Wisconsin. We are beginning to grow concerned for the political safety of those that get caught in its path."
Saddam was willing to go into exile
Thu Sep 27, 2007 at 03:09:42 AM PDT
If today's reporting in the Washington Post by Karen DeYoung and Michael Abramowitz is correct, Saddam Hussein was willing to go into exile as a means of avoiding the war in Iraq.
The Washington Post v. The Onion
Wed Dec 06, 2006 at 10:49:42 AM PDT
So the Iraq Study Group report came out today telling the world what we at Kos have long known; that BushCo. has essentially lost the war in Iraq and it's time to change course.
In the fine tradition of the Washington Post (now sinking faster than the Titanic or the New Republic), the editors elected to run this op-ed by William Caldwell IV.
I'll leave it to readers to decide if this is a copy-and-paste job from The Onion or just another long pathetic day at The Post.

Iran: How to Avoid a War
Sun Aug 27, 2006 at 11:03:21 AM PDT
Within the sixty to ninety days (certainly before the November 7th elections) the United States of America, led by the worst President in the history of the republic, George W. Bush, will be pressured into going to war with Iran. We will be given countless reasons why this war is necessary; though most of us know the reasons cited will in no way relate to the underlying purpose of this looming disaster.
