Maybe it's just that my spam filtering is that good. Maybe everyone else has been getting these for years.
Maybe. But today was the first day the War on Iraq was brought to me by the same sort of folks who think I might want a penis enlarger.
On second thought, maybe it's appropriate.

The below email came to an address I rarely use anymore. It also made it through the Prodigy/SBC/Yahoo filter system, which works well enough so that I almost never get ANY mail to this account ... which makes me a little suspicious of the provider. Looks to have probably come from a prodigy.net address, from the header.
In any case, military.com looks a LOT like a recruitment site. The emphasis seems to be on prepping for the ASVB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery)tests ... the question mark in the headline/title of this diary is there because I don't know of any particular tie between military.com and the U.S. military, though they make common cause.
It's difficult to imagine how I could be TARGETED for recruitment; I'm 48, not a veteran and oppose the war in Iraq. But I imagine that veterans and those who support the war don't approve of this sort of thing, either.
Maybe they've been doing it a while, but as I said, it's the first one that's made it through to my inbox. I searched the site and didn't find a mention.
